Living History
Located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, the farm's origins are largely unknown, but architectural and historical cues suggest it may date back to the antebellum period.
1915-1940
Once an active agricultural property, it has withstood the test of time, enduring events such as the Civil War and the subsequent reconstruction era. The farm remained in operation for generations, passing through different families while maintaining its role in agriculture.
1940s-80s
During the mid-20th century, the farm continued to operate within the traditions of Spotsylvania County's agricultural community. As it weathered the effects of the Second World War and the societal changes that followed, the farm slowly fell into disrepair.
1990-2000
In 1991, after years of incremental work, the farmhouse construction was finalized. Its completion was a blending of eras, retaining a traditional architectural style while integrating modern amenities. The completed farmhouse symbolized the enduring heritage of the property, all the while showcasing its evolution with time.
2001-2016
Today, the farm has fully transitioned into a renovated event venue. It's a place where history meets the present. The old barns have been repurposed into unique event spaces, the open fields now serve as picturesque backdrops for photos, and the farmhouse itself stands as a tangible reminder of the property's history.
Present Day
While the nature of the farm has changed, its roots are ever-present. With every event it hosts, the venue adds a new chapter to its own story, while honoring its agricultural past. Guests to the property are given a glimpse into a bygone era, while experiencing the comforts of modern conveniences. The farm is not just a venue, it's a living piece of Spotsylvania County's history.
